IWC CONFIDENTIAL 30TH JANUARY 2015
Hello and welcome to the latest edition of Confidential, giving you the inside track on the IWC.
Firstly, as of this moment there has been no confirmation that the IWC has been sold. @triadrumours seemed to imply that a deal was in place, but it is Confidential’s belief that the deal isn’t quite done, and there are a few issues that need to be ironed out before any announcement can be made. As it has been implied, Sebastian Blake seems to be the front runner at the moment; however we all know how much of an hot potato the ownership of the IWC has been, so until the announcement is officially made, anything can happen. Also, just before we went to press, a rumor started circulating that Karen McBride may have actually come up with a package to own IWC lock stock and barrel, though it is not thought where that backing has come from
Tina Valentine has been especially vocal over the past few weeks, and this all came to a head in an altercation with Orlando Cruze, which led to her being fined, and taken from any title contendership for the foreseeable future. We believe the contendership ban has now been rescinded, but Tina is said to be furious at what was a public dressing down, when people like New Eden are still getting away with murder. It is thought that Tina is promising to make Orlando pay, but if he has sold up, how see will achieve that no one knows.
On social media Jessica Wilde seemed to be implying that she would joined Serenity and her group consisting of Willow Wilkes, Jessika and Cassidy Haze. Although this is not certain, one has to wonder what this would mean for the fabric of the IWC, still recovering after the demise of the Sinistry, and with New Eden and Silas World skulking in the background. It is thought that Orlando, and/or any new owners need to take a stance against this and quick, and it may be a case of fighting fire with fire, a group to take on the people that are ruining the industry. Who would lead such a group, and who would make that stand is unclear, but it seems that the war didn’t end with the end of the Sinistry, and that it has only just begun.
Gavin Taylor continues to wonder where his buddy Andre Jordan is, could it be that he won’t have to wait much longer? With many competitors circling for a shot at the Evolution title, is Andre Jordan actually waiting for his moment to strike, and take the title from Gavin’s grasp. One thing is for certain; he would need to go through Mika Kozlov, who looks to be readying a tilt on the title, and has already spoken of her intention to win the Last Stand Rumble, and also it is still uncertain what Shilo Valiant is going appearing on IWC programming when it seems he still hasn’t signed to the company
Talking of Mika, confusion still reigns over why Taylor Chase-Cruze kidnapped her at the end of RIOT, and why it seems she could remember any of it. Does this have anything to do with the blackouts she has been experiencing, and if so, is Scott Cannon suffering from the same thing? Is this all part of a huge game by Aiken Frost, designed to put New Eden at the forefront for control of the IWC?
Is Silas World stronger than it has ever been, and is this the right time for Sienna Swann to step from the shadows and be the Perfect 10 which Silas claims she is? With Angelica Jones seemingly taking care of business away from the IWC is Sienna about to make her move and if so can anyone stop her? In the locker room, Marina Valdivia, Selena Frost, and Ember Young have been paying close attention to Silas World, and it is thought the three of them could form an alliance should the need arise. But with Julia Noel, Crissy Gardner, and Samantha Raine all also looking to make an impact, is Sienna seen as a stepping stone for much of the roster? No doubt Sienna will be looking to put that particular opinion to bed the moment she makes her debut
Who is capable of taking the tag team titles from Alana Starr and Scott Cannon? If Aiken Frost has his own way the answer to that is no one. There is little doubt that they are an impressive team, but when perhaps the most obvious choice, the Blacklist, comprising of Aaron Harrison and Lukas Montgomery, are seemingly on the verge of imploding over Mika Kozlov, who will be able to step up? Will Bad Behavior be the team to grab the titles? Or could it be a new team on the block such as the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels? One thing is for certain, the tag division is hotting up in the Cartel, and Alana and Scott will not have it easy remaining the champions
Why is Danny Darko so intent on bringing Mordecai into the fold, and will he continue after the way the match ended on RIOT? There is no doubt Mordecai was looking to help, but Skyy saw it differently and surely will never allow Mordecai into Pain and Pleasure. What is more important to Danny? The answer to that should surely be his wife, but after recent events, will that be the case?
Is William Mason the next person to be pushed to the moon in the IWC, and will he be the one to get a shot at Taylor Chase-Cruze? No doubt, he believes it is his time, having gone through 2014 being pinned, something not many more could say. However, it seems of late William has become distracted by Serenity and Psychomachia. Could his obsession with them cost him his shot at the big time?
Katelyn Buehler returned on RIOT with a back, but has she bitten off more than she can chew? It seems that her issues with Taylor have cooled, but that’s certainly not the case with Jessica Wilde who has threatened to end her career. No one knows if Katelyn is ready for the threat, but everyone is certain Wilde means what she says. Whatever the stipulation, there is little doubt this match will be huge when it happens, especially with Tina Valentine looking on, with her own thoughts on Katelyn’s return
New Eden may seem to be the dominant force at the moment, but could it be that the demise of that group could come from Aiken’s own wife Rachel and Ethan Von Aaron? There is no doubt that Rachel knows all the inner workings of New Eden, and with her seemingly back on the same page with Rachel Foxx, could it be that these two ladies bring about the fall of New Eden?
Who will be the next Queen of the Ring, or will Jessica be the champion for a long time? Ms.Budde has to be thought of as a contender, as does the dominant Mary Allison Chainz who has been impressing since her debut. Julia Noel, Prii Foote, the list in endless. One person who says it will be none of the above is someone who seems to have been forgotten about of late, someone who now has the backing she needs. Is it finally time for Mya Denton to step from the shadows and claim a major title? Chris Davids and her colleagues certainly think so. So don’t be surprised if she throws her hat into the ring before Last Stand comes around, and the inevitable Queen of the Ring Title Match.
The whole world is looking forwards to the debut of Jeffrey Alexander Starxxx, but will he manage to overcome the expectation and make good on his promises. One person who has been quiet of late is P Clarence Whitman, but he was overheard saying that Jeffrey would be his perfect comeback match. With Whitman’s rumored alcohol issues however, is Whitman picking on the wrong person for a comeback?
Are the issues with Kellen Jeffries, Spencer Klein and the Blacklist over? Not likely, and certainly not if Kellen has anything to do with. He has promised to hurt Aaron where he would experience the most pain, and it is thought that this has something to do with Mika Kozlov, Aaron’s Achilles heel. It has to be said, it seems this will only be over when one of them dies, and Kellen might be ensuring that, by making their final match in the Weapons Lair, a structure that has not been seen for years
And finally for the news, anticipation is building over Marie Jones versus Taylor Chase-Cruze, with people actually believing that Marie could be the one to take the title from Taylor at her first attempt. Marie has seemingly never been happier with her management and career, and with the Titanium Brace in her possession, she feels that she is finally ready to be the World Champion, especially with Taylor’s alleged health issues. With @triadrumours also claiming that one of the champions was pregnant, and Zoe Sperling quickly denying it, is this reason for Taylor’s blackouts and will it affect her performance. This is all hearsay of course, but there is little doubt that Marie is supremely confident, something not usually seen when people face Taylor.
THE RUMOR MILL
Not a rumor as such, over the past few days we have seen @triadrumours come to prominence on social media, and a lot of people have been asking who he is, and how does he seem to have such insider knowledge. Well, his name is David Fortune, and he is actually a remnant from the old ULW and IWC brands, and has been in the background of wrestling for nigh on 20 years.
An unofficial poll on Twitter has revealed that out of the current IWC roster, three people are expected to go on and be the last people left in the Last Stand Rumble match. In third place came Alana Starr, in second place was Aiken Frost and the winner with a huge 45% of the vote was Katelyn Buehler. It seems that the fans have forgiven Katelyn, even if many on the roster have not.
The same source also posted, asking who will be the surprise entrants into that Rumble, people perhaps from other companies looking to make a name for themselves in the IWC. This time in third place was Kalinda, who only left the IWC last year, in second was Simon Lyman, and in first and perhaps surprisingly considering it was rumored anyway, was David Helms, who might find the lure of one IWC PPV to much to resist before he retires. One person who didn’t make the top three, but a strong rumor is beginning to circulate, is that of Christian and Rose Savior, which would seem to make sense if Orlando has indeed sold the IWC
Talking of other companies, IWC Officials and especially Orlando Cruze are apparently keeping a close eye on the situation with Jason King over in ULW. You may have seen the issues he had over the past week, well it was confirmed in a statement that he is disillusioned with the management there, and may be persuaded to move. Orlando is thought to have already spoken with Jason’s brother over the possibility and was certainly not knocked back
TP Kid has been off our screens for a while now, and it seems likely that unfortunately he will never return to the IWC. It is not sure if it is an injury, or personal issues, or a mixture of both, but friends of the popular IWC Superstar have said that he is unlikely to come back. If this is the case, then his loss in the locker room will undoubtedly be felt.
IWC Bosses are said to be very impressed with the work that Mr Wasley has been doing with Cartel: NxtGen and are considering giving him either RIOT or NewAge when the brand split takes place after Invictus. What this would mean for NxtGen we are unsure, but early indications are that Mr Wasley would decline such an offer, preferring instead to continue to build his brand
Still with NxtGen, several superstars are also being watched closely to see if they can be signed to the IWC. We don’t have an actual list, but it is thought that the Cartel Champion Mogui is one such wrestler, as is Jimmy Slade. Of course, Mr Wasley would resist such signings as both are critical to his brands future success, but with the IWC having first refusal, he would reluctantly agree to a trade. With a few IWC wrestlers not quite living up to expectations, they will indeed be looking over their shoulders.
And finally, over the course of the week, it was mentioned that a possible ULW/SCW/IWC super show could be on the cards, and was being muted as a possibility in the second part of the year. Having looked into this rumor, it seems that discussions did indeed take place, but nothing was decided. It is quite telling however that it was even considered, and shows the potential dominance of the group that has been deemed the Triad of Wrestling. Whether it happens or not, it really does whet the appetite thinking of some of the potential dream matches.
And with that, thank you for taking in the latest Confidential, we will be back soon.
