iwc interrogates - orlando cruze
Good morning, and welcome on this historic day where just a few hours ago we were told that IWC Legend and Icon Orlando Cruze was the man who has brought back the Independent Wrestling Cartel with the intention of putting it back at the pinnacle of this industry. We sat down with him for a quick chat about his thoughts for the future and what it might bring
IWC_Official: Good morning Orlando, and can I just personally say what a pleasure it is that the IWC is back?
Orlando: You just did
(Laughs)
IWC_Official: So how did this come about? After all, the company has been dead now for many years, and there was no sign of its return until just a month ago when the rumors started surfacing
Orlando: As you may or may not know, I made my in ring return in SCW, where me and a few of the old IWC roster got together and performed an ‘invasion’ of sorts. At the same time I inherited a lot of money which was burning a hole in my pocket. I was then approached with the idea of bringing back the company properly, and I agreed that it was time and then here we are
IWC_Official: So, you’re not the sole owner?
Orlando: I didn’t say that did I?
IWC_Official: Not in as many words.
Orlando: Well, you’re going to have to wait and see then
IWC_Official: Ok, moving on, how difficult was it getting the roster back together as we have seen both old and new superstars signing up?
Orlando: The thing is with IWC, whether we liked each other or not, it was always a family, and every person I have spoken to agreed that we had unfinished business. Of course there are those who haven’t returned, and others whose contracts are still under discussion, but on the whole I’m happy with the mix on the roster and I’m looking forward to getting started…starting with the announcement of the first card later on today
IWC_Official: What can we expect to see on that card?
Orlando: Some of the matches have already been announced of course, but there are many stellar matches still to come to light. The IWC always paved the way for others to follow, and that’s my intention for the future. Pushing boundaries like we always did with the likes of the Weapons Lair
IWC_Official: And your competition with SCW?
Orlando: There is no competition, we are the better company and always were. I accept we have some ground to make up, but we will do precisely that over the next few months, and I guarantee that by the time Paranoia comes around we will be at least on an equal footing with regards to ratings. That is if they survive that long
IWC_Official: And IWC Awakening, that must be on your mind already?
Orlando: The PPV’s are where we make our biggest impact and Awakening is already promising to be the biggest wrestling PPV of the year. We’ll be looking to put some of our titles on the line, and will be putting down our marker for the rest of the year. The roster I have amassed it on a par with anything in this industry and we will show our intentions in full. I don’t think I can make it any clearer than that
IWC_Official: For you personally, what kind of owner are you going to be?
Orlando: I’m not going to come out here and pretend I’m doing this all for the fans, to give them what they want though of course that does come into it. This is my business, it’s what I do, and I will be looking to make as much money as I can off the back of it.
IWC_Official: And anyone who doesn’t share that vision?
Orlando: I know what the fans want, and I will give them what they need. Anyone who doesn’t step up won’t be in the IWC for very long. Ruthless is a strong word, but it’s the closest I can think of, and anyone who tries it on with me, or anyone close to me will be made to suffer
IWC_Official: Sounds ominous
Orlando: Not really, I’ll play nice as long as they do, it’s that simple.
IWC_Official: Thanks for your time and I know you have promised a more in depth vision at RIOT, but finally, what would you like to say to the fans that are delighted at the return of this company and can’t wait till August the tenth
Orlando: You pay good money to watch a product, and I’m going to make sure that product is better than it ever was before. I’ve been preaching in SCW for the last six months how great the initials IWC are, and I’m not going to stop getting that message across, and now I have the power of my own company to do it. The SCW invasion will still continue, and I’ll still be taking them apart from within, but here, this is where we will do the most good. And put the Independent Wrestling Cartel back on top
IWC_Official: Thank you for your time Orlando and we look forwards to learning more over the coming days and weeks
Orlando: Thank you
IWC_Official: And there you have it, Orlando Cruze is the new owner of IWC and has a fantastic vision for the future of the company, and one not many would bet against.
IWC_Official: Good morning Orlando, and can I just personally say what a pleasure it is that the IWC is back?
